    But doesn't Edius X have built-in audio filters?

    Maybe it could of some interest for Edius 8 users.
    I made some test with the new Izotope RX8 de noise. As I said I made this interview in a lab with several fridges on.

    I uploaded a 1 minute raw clip with higher volume. The first 30" with filter off. The following 30" with the filter on (default settings).
    Refrigerator humming is not gone but quite lower. I don't see voice degradation or audio delay.
    I'm a audio beginner, should I see a delay between lips and voice?

        Regarding audio and video sync, yes you will see a few frames out of sync when applying most third party audio effects. So you will have to move your audio by a few frames. That's another great upgrade in EDIUS X. Automatic audio latency correction that takes care of that problem. Works great.
