  • noise reduction plugin

I"m looking for a plugin that allows noise reduction in an audio file. Currently I use an older version of adobe audition for that purpose but I don't want to be taking any roundtrips and do this right in Edius.

Are there any good plugins available for Edius 8WG?

What's your budget? Wavearts has a good Master Restoration plugin as does Izotope.

I recommend Wavearts Master Restoration as it is the only plugin for EDIUS that causes 0.0000% delay after export

Is Wave Arts better than Adobe Audition?

            I have no idea

Wavearts is a VST plugin and works direct in EDIUS

It works in both Audition and Edius. It's better in the sense that the plugin keeps the work within Edius. I use both but prefer to keep it native.

Ok thanks, I don't mind going round trip and to Audition and back, just wondering if the noise reduction was better or not.

As far as removing fan and computer noise on voice overs I do find it better. As I said before, it can be used on Audition as well.
It takes less work to get the same quality noise reduction, even when using it in Audition.
I also have the Power Suite, which has the individual elements of Master Restoration.
Out of this, I use MRGate and MRNoise. Using these two items takes care of any noise issues I will run into when doing
                    my voice overs.
