  • Can't install Vistitle 2.6

I just upgraded to Edius 7.52 and had not installed Vistitle.
However I tried to install Vistitle 2.6 it starts the install and then just hangs there. I have to use Task Manager to end the attempted install.

Then when I try and uninstall any vistitle files nothing is there. I have disabled my firewall and anti virus programs but no joy.

    Run out of Ideas
    I am running Windows 8.1

Did it ask for the V2.0 serial during the first install on this second system?

No it did not. It goes through the install process and just after it displays where it's going to put the program (C:\vistitle) I believe, the install process just freezes on the screen and nothing happens.

The same thing happens when I try and install the Sentinel driver. It too will not install and just hangs there in the middle of install and does not respond.

sounds like an anti virus program is preventing installation

I temporary disabled both my firewall and anti virus before install and doesn't seem to make a difference.

                  I will try again.

                      Yes the dongle lights up.

As the Dos windows goes by during the install process I was able to see
                      "Unable to copy Sentinel 154".

                      Not sure what that means

Download this driver for the dongle:
                        ftp://ftp.cis-app.com/pub/hasp/Senti....9_Windows.zip

Uninstall Vistitile and the dongle. Install the new driver and reboot. Make sure all Antivirus, including Windows Defender is turned off.
                        Now, try installing Visitle 2.6.

[QUOTE=Jerry;274323]Download this driver for the dongle:
                          ftp://ftp.cis-app.com/pub/hasp/Senti....9_Windows.zip

Uninstall Vistitile and the dongle. Install the new driver and reboot. Make sure all Antivirus, including Windows Defender is turned off.
                          Now, try installing Visitle 2.6.[/QU

I am not able to uninstall Vistitle since I was never able to install it. Not sure how to uninstall the dongle unless you are talking about the Sentinel Protection Driver.
I did uninstall the Sentinel driver, disabled all anti virus and firewall software.
When I tried your new Sentinel Driver that too started the install and then just stopped and hung there.
Something is blocking the install of both the Vistitle and Sentinel

I tried installing Vistitle 2.5 and the Sentinel driver on my laptop and they installed fine.
Too bad I don't have Edius 7 on it. I have already used my 2 licenses for Edius 7.

Trying to figure out what I have on my desktop that is not on my laptop.

I don't know if this helps, but there is an update to 2.606 that fixed a bug.

Not sure if this bug affects installation, but perhaps you could try that installer here:

Edius 8.53WG, Vistitle 2.8, Windows 10 x64 Pro Fall Update, Asus Z87 Pro, Intel i7-4770K, 16 GB 1600 Corsair Vengence LP RAM, Samsung 840 Pro SSD 256GB, WD Black 2TB media drive, Intel HD 4600 GPU, MSI GTX660 2GB VGA, Coolermaster Silencio 652 case, Noctua NH-U12S CPU cooler, Cakewalk UA-25EX USB audio interface, Cakewalk MA-15D monitor speakers, BM Intensity Pro 4K, PlextorPX-LB950SA BD writer, Dell U2410 Monitor
