Confused with NewblueFx package options

    Confused with NewblueFx package options

    I have used NewblueFX effects for a while now and still have the old 'Video Essential' packages.

    When I look at my account I see options for 'upgrades' to the new packages and to be honest I have no idea what I'm supposed to get different with the new versions?

    Can anyone clarify, do I get extra effects, do the new versions improve on anything speed wise etc?
    I'm often tempted, but wonder if I'm spending more money to repurchase what I actually already have?

    For information I have the following 'old' packages.

    The main difference is in performance. With the right hardware the Ultimate packages will play in real time.
    I believe these same packages were also restructured and combined.
    With the 6700k and the GTX 970 you shouldn't have any issues with RT playback using the Ultimate versions.

      Jerry's comment is correct, the packages were essentially re-curated. All the products are now activated/updated through our Application Manager and there are substantial performance improvements for many of the plugins.

      We are also conscious that you may be re-purchasing some effects you already own. So if you log into your NewBlue account, you'll have upgrade credit towards our "Ultimate" products based on the collections you already own.

        I may take a look at what I already have and which package has extras that I don't have to begin with.

          what do you mean by "ultimate"? I don't see that on the website.
