  • Mercalli Stabilzer Question

When I use the Stand ALone version (SAL) there is an option "Keep camera dynamics". Unticking this means that the clip will be treated as being shot from a tripot. The result is a very stable clip.
In the plugin I cannot find this option.

Where did it go, is it still there?
Is it a problem if you want your shots to look like being shot using a tripot? Or should I say: does it matter, is the end result still the same?

In V2 the plugin has a tick box (bottom left) to enable further settings panel to expand open, then you can see the option 'keep camera dynamic' box.
    Hope this helps

In V4 SAL it is in the right hand column under 'Settings' scroll down to 'Keep Camera Dynamic' whereas in the V4 plugin you have to click the bottom left 'Enlarge' and it is displayed under the 'Rolling Shutter Compensation' in the 'Camera' window.

        Found it. Thanks!

Also noticed: this software detects a pan and automatically switches to "Keep camera dynamics". No pan in the clip: then the clip is stabilized as if it was shot using a tripot. (there is still a bit movement in the clip, but much less than in the original) All done automatically. Very nice (and clever).
