  • Magic Bullet QuickLooks Free

I am having problems getting Magic Bullet QuickLooks Free to work in Edius 7. I did have it working once via After Effects Plug-In Bridge but can't get it to work now. How do I add this please?

    From there Web page :

    Quick Looks Free works with:
    Adobe After Effects CC, CS6, CS5.5, CS5
    Adobe Premiere Pro CC, CS6, CS5.5, CS5
Apple Final Cut Pro 6, 7

Maybe Edius will be added later.........

The bridge in Edius is often a hit or miss.

Well like I said in my post I did have it working via the AE Bridge in Edius 7. It's just that I can't remember how I got it there!

Oh, this issue has come up again now that I've upgraded to Edius 8 Workgroup.

I now cannot find any path to the Adobe Plug Ins folder. I had to format my HDD and reinstall Windows 7. Don't have After Effects but do have MB Looks Free.

How were you using it before? Was it plugging into AE? MB Looks is accessed through the AE Bridge.

I used to have After Effects but cancelled my Creative Cloud subscription as I wasn't using it much.

I have an old version of AE - 6.5 - that I could install. Would that then give me access to the plugins via AE Bridge in Edius??

Is it a CS version? If it is CS6 you're good to go.

IIRC - you don't even need to have AE or anything installed, Bullet makes a folder which you point the bridge at - at least that's how it used to be - give it a try...

I just tested on my laptop that has no AE etc on it - MB installer makes the folders as shown.

That folder is under Adobe Media Core for CS6. You won't find that exact folder unless you have CS6 installed.
During install you are given several Adobe options. I think that is the only way to make it work.
