note that the error complains about EDIUS 9 which is strange
I only have Edius 7.5 installed. I have been testing Edius 8 trial on another PC.

Solved the issues by re-installing Vistitle 2.5, then using the 2.6 installer.

I got that message too and only have Edius 7.5 install.

I switched off PC, removed the vistitle USB dongle, switched on and install 2.6 No error message this time, so I don't know what happened in the first place.

The Vistitle installer is looking for EDIUS 9 Plugin directory, but there is no EDIUS 9

            I got the same error

Perhaps I should hold off buying Edius 8, Videostar think version 9 is coming ;)

I had the same message on a computer which used to have EDIUS 7 on it and did have Vistitle 2.5. I uninstalled 2.5 and just installed 2.6 and it worked ok.

Also on Windows 8.1 I had a message saying the installer was not certified/ratified etc, so I just had to bypass that.

I installed 2.6 on both Edius 7.5 and Edius 8 without an issue. The Edius 7.5 install was performed after uninstalling the previous version. The Edius 8 install was on a clean drive.
To prevent dongle issues on new installs, always go to Safenet and get the latest Sentinel drivers. Here is the latest driver:
                    http://c3.safenet-inc.com/downloads/...er%207.5.8.zip

Install these drivers before starting the Vistitle install.

I would also recommend uninstalling the previous version of Vistitle before installing 2.6. There may be problems using the installer as an update installer on an Edius 8 install where the plugin folder from Edius 7 has been pasted.

I have just received a message from Jack Chen (Videostar), who asked me to pass this on:

"I have lost my password for GV forum, could you help me to send the messge in there ?
message should be about “Please uninstall 2.5 firstly, and then use 2.6 full installer to avoid errors.”
