Paul, if you apply a filter and a tilt shift to a clip, does it still play real time?

I have the test demo of it and when i add a look to my HQX files it just about kills my system i get 2 to 3 frames a second playback then making it very hard to do anything.

Do you have some special setting set to make it play back good? I love what it can do.
I recreated one of the looks just using a few of the tools in Edius and got very close and when applying that i still have good playback but with any look i ad it kills me.
I am ready to buy it if i can just get it to work better. No crashes with it just dead slow.

Any discount available on it to be had $399 is bit much compared to others out in the $100 to $200 range of less.

Don't know of any ongoing discounts, but at the end of last year they had 40% off anything they sell.

Ed, if you were applying Looks to the UHD file you should expect it to loose performance with your system. If you haven't tried it with an HD file, give it a try to see what the performance is like.
I get better performance with the previous version. But, the interface is better and there are more 'looks.' I can apply a 'look' to an HQX UHD clip, do a buffer pre-fill and the clip will playback with
a full buffer. After applying the filter, if you decide that it is the one to use you might as well just use shift+G which shouldn't take much more time that doing a buffer pre-fill.
