Vistitle Kerning Grayed out

This morning using Vistitle, I noticed the kerning adjustment box is grayed out. Leading works, but not kerning. In the advanced properties box, I can enter a value for kerning, but it has no effect.

I must have hit some key combination that turned off kerning, since I used kerning successfully in the past.

The problem exists
- in the mini-editor and full Vistitle

I re-booted the computer and tried titles from older projects - same problem.

Any suggestions to fix this problem.

Which version of Vistitle and could you post a screen shot of your Vistitle desktop.

Kerning Grayed Out

I find that using RESET TEXT PROP in the GUI interface will allow kerning,
but when I deselect / then reselect, the kerning is again grayed out.

Attached are a couple of images.

Windows 7, Vistitle 2.5 (see signature line for system 1)

If I use the standalone version of Vistitle, the kerning option is available.

You have to be careful what you choose as your character render type. The selection that you have chosen when it doesn't allow kerning is 'Render by Line.'
This means it shows the entire line and locks down the horizontal display.
Choosing render by character allows both to work.

If you want full control of the kerning and leading feature with keyframe, apply the Kerning and Leading plugin. This will work even if you have the 'Render by Line' option selected.
