What is the idea behind wanting it?
EDIUS supports Avid DNX an Prores natively.

Yes I was just going trough it.
If Prores is needed it would make sense.
It should be accessible via quicktime.

        Not tested yet,
but it seems that this is the missed solution to create QuickTime ProRes files straight from the Edius timeline!
I assume that this has been developed with the help of ffmpeg, libav or ffmbc libraries.
        Anyway, thanks for sharing this.

This is the application I had in mind. Now to figure out if it will work with 5.51.

I would first drop an email to them asking if it's Aple approved/licensed version.
Even if it's not originally licensed from Apple it's very welcome & helpful.
            Sadly I can't find a demo version.

Maybe, but it's the same with Cinemartins Cinec!
So I will buy a license as soon as possible...

Apple could react to this with the next QT-"security" update to ignore the component.

                  Yes,
because CINEC is not a QuickTime component!
The QuickTime API is not used with CINEC.

I have exported now a full HD 1920x1080 25p clip with embedded 5.1 audio.
It simply works straight from the timeline, but it is really slow!
The 2 minutes clip took 6 minutes to export.
The codec of the exported clip will be identified as 'Miraizon ProRes 422 (HQ)' in clip properties.

So at the end I'm really really happy with it. Hopefully they will fasten up the encoding speed.

                          Indeed!
Hopefully Apple himself reacts in that way that they extend their official ProRes support also for the Windows world.
For now, I'm really happy with this solution.

It may work or may not- needs testing.

The plugin also supports QuickTime ‘v410’ for 10 bit 4:4:4 video.
