I just tried it and everything that I exported would not reimport into Edius. They do import into Premiere Pro CC. Also, when you export, the file is not added to the bin. It does work with Quick Sync.
I may not be setting it correctly, but I am using the same settings I use in MW5.
It will also create an MKV file. It also causes Edius to hang on closing.

Definately a step in the right direction but I can not find any mention of downsampling method for DVD output. I guess it is not in there.

I would pay 500 bucks for that, just to have a one time activation.

I have Authoring and Mastering works and i only have to connect for 5 seconds approx once a month and then unplug

Had issue with m2ts files, but some MP4s imported fine to Edius. Issue is with muxing and specific audio codecs. MP4 with AAC should work. Otherwise there is some serious bug in either Edius or plugin.

OK- transport stream exports need to have m2ts extension, not m2t :)

Just checked and AAC audio files will appear automatically in Edius Bin and play on TL

Hi John,

it is a general thing & a no-go for professional production environments from my perspective.
Software should work all the time on a production system & I have to take care of it,
even when the internet connection is not present.

I'm so thankful that GV has done a good job by providing an reliable "offline" activation.

TMPEG creates great tools but they definitly are far away from the perspective of professional production environments if they adress an exporter to use in Edius.
In terms of sensual production environments they do not understand that these systems must be seperated from the internet.

I don't need a tool for a discount price, I need reliable tools on every single stage & this is a value I would buy for.

A long time ago I have bought TMPEGEnc 4 to have suport for my FCB, since GV has discontinued it without providing senseful support.
Anyway, it seems that TMPEG is not on my list...

But TMPGenc does not require permanent connection, at least for the ones I have installed. Maybe once a month to confirm license. Still the best encode in my mind.

It is annoying to connect the desktop with the internet, all the time when software asks for!
Today it's TMPEG, tomorrow another application.

Yes, that's why we stay with version 6. We don't like it to feel addicted to "the needle".
So the companies should know about if the clients are not happy. ;)
Being always opportune to all of the rules that companies set is no way for me.

I don't think so, as long as there are alternative solutions.

As I said GrassValley activation is fine. If this would change I would change my workflow. ;)

It is not just video software. My accountant is advising me to stop using Sage, which we have used for years, and start using an on-line subscription version because it is cheaper, simpler and can be used by multiple users.

With the Adobe software it does not matter of course because you should be using EDIUS anyway. ;-)
