  • VisTitle 1.8.7.0 applying effect

    Hi to all,
I have a title with a border and shadow (made with "shader" tab). Now I want to apply a linear light effect only to shadow or border, not on face. Is it possible?
    Thanks!

    Yes, of course.

Select the border or shadow, and in below parameters panel, enable its linear light and then adjust width or color.

      VX chen,
I was thinking about animated "linear light" (under Effect tab), not "LinearSheen". Any chance to do that? Or I have to duplicate title and then apply animated effect? By the way, what is the difference between "add" and "insert" face, border etc...
      Thanks

We have linear light effect, you can drop it to the object, but it do the effect for whole object (for example, your object with border and shadow). If you want to only apply it to shadow or border, you have to do like this:
        1) Source object, we call it A, Copy and paste it, we call it B. A and B have same position.
        2) Disable the border of A, we get A', and disable the shadow of B, we get B', so A'+B' = A
        3) Apply linear light to A' or B', and play the timeline to see the effect, is it you wanted ?

I think your means is in shader page, VisTitle can add or insert 'face' 'outline' 'depth' or 'shadow' ?

"Add" always means append a shader property to the end of current shader style.

"Insert" means insert a shader property before current selected shader property.
