Vitascene and Edius 7

I just went from Edius 6.5 to Edius 7 which was a download.
Does Vitascene come with 7? If so where would I get it and does it need a serial number?

Since 6.5 we don't bundle thirdparty plug-ins. If you own the plug-in for 6.5 the update to the version for EDIUS 7 is free.
So case in point your serial number for the purchased version for 6.5 would be valid for the update to the version for EDIUS 7.

Just so I understand, I would have had to purchased Vitascene from Prodad for Edius 6.5 in order to update the version for Edius 7.
All I have now is Vitascene LE 1 so I would need to go to their site and upgrade to the latest version?

Good luck with that one! Earlier this year I wanted to upgrade my Heroglyph title programe, I checked on their website & found it was compatable with 6.o5, so I bought it only to find that it wasn`t directly compatable. I contacted prodad who told me I`d need to got to Edius 6.5, which would have meant not only the cost of that plus I would need to purchase vistitle & Mercali. Rang them in Germany, ended it up by being sworn at (I speak a little German). I contacted my credit company who agreed that the website had misrepresented the compatability issue & refunded my £133! So as I said at the start, "Good luck"

Hi there,

I have Edius 7.21 and got Vitascene 2. In my case the performance is very poor, I can not add filters in realtime, rendering is very slow (15xrealtime)

I have a Corei7-4770K on an Intel DZ87KLT-75K Mainboard, 32 GB RAM, 2x 240 GB SSD RAID, Intel HD4600 onboard for quicksync and an NVidia Quadro K2000 2 GB for the rendering of the effects.

It seems that Vitascene does not use the Quadro at all, even if I did set it on Edius (GPU-Effects). ProDad told me that the Quadro is too poor (!) to perform real-time effect rendering on 1080i50.

Anyone with the same issues?

Prodad knows best which GPU is optimal for their application.

I understand but I was just pointing out that if the manufacturer says that a certain GPU will not give optimal performance it is hard to argue against it. :)

Check your card. If it comes out as acceptable, which it should, there might be something else wrong.

It really depends. I have a Quadro 4000 , the test says it is great but anything HD chokes in EDIUS.
Only in SD can I get realtime. :)

The test program is a bit useless...
