I don't know where you are getting the 5.4 download. Under the update these are the installer choices:

I also download the trial which says it is 5.4 but during the install at the registration panel the actual version number was

I've already installed RED 5.4 and it works fin on EDIUS 7 so far.

There, choose RED and download the RED 5.3 package. Surprise: you'll get BorisRED54Win_64Bit.exe. BorisFX already informed.Comment
