  • NewBlue Essentials question

I have emailed NewBlue for help, but thought I might get an answer here first.

I am using Edius 6.08 and have Video Essentials for Edius (version 1.4 build 101213) as well as Video Essentials 111 (version 3 build 130703).

As many of the FX are duplicated in those programs, I have not installed Video Essentials 111. Now I thought that I should see if the latest build was better, so I installed that version.

It (VE 111) is not showing up in the Edius FX and the original install still shows version 1.4 with no update available.

    Any idea what is wrong?

I have had email reply from NewBlue....not that helpful. I know that Video Essentials for Edius is a combination of VE1 and VE3.

I asked if VE3 (version 3, the latest) was any improvement on the VE3 parts of Video Essentials for Edius. I didn't get an answer.

I suppose that I shall remain using the original version and not bother with installing VE3?

From what I recall, there are not too many differences in the versions. I would stick with VE1 a little while longer.
