  • Mercalli proDad Update

I just now installed Mercalli (v. 2.0) that was on GV bonus software disc for version 6.

I know...I may be slow, but I'm not stupid.

Anyway, it works great for video stabilization!

    I'm at Edius version 6.07.

I went to the proDad website, and there is an update for my situation:

    11-Jan-2012 Plugin 2.0.9677

Edius 6 and EdiusNeo 3: Setup
    • A very rare occurring bug during the video analysis fixed.
    • Manual updated
Is this update known to have caused any problems for anyone?

    Thanks!
    Regards,

    Jon

No problem here. I am using Edius 6.08...why are you still on 6.07?

I'm averse to software changes, unless necessary. The risk of destabilizing a good working platform is always a concern.

I read some prior related threads about some people having trouble with Mercalli updates in Edius.

I will probably do the update, but after I finish my current client project.

I am very glad I installed Mercalli from the bonus disc during this project, though. It took two minutes of badly jumbled up and down film frames due to broken sprocket holes, and did an incredible job of making it look almost perfect.

I used to do the same in Standard Definition film captures 10 years ago with Dyna-Pel/Gooder Video "SteadyHand" software. It plugged into Premiere/DVStorm.
