  • Vistitle- how to delete plug in effect?

    Hi all,
New Vistitle user- I have applied a drop shadow from the plug in effects to a piece of text. I cannot see how to delete it now. Deleting "shadow" on the timelineline takes out the entire text.

I can go back into the shadow plug in and reset it but it still leaves the effect line in place on the timeline, so there must be an easier way. (prepared to look stupid now!) thanks guys. Edit: delete effect is greyed out

      Hi Anton,
thanks for that. I did get that far but I cannot get rid of the shadow plugin. When I reset and save, then recall the text and double click on the text it loads up the shadow plugin again albeit in a null setting. Is there not a way to simply delete this plugin from the text?

To remove a plugin-effect (like shadow) you have to right click the object and select "remove group".

Yes, it is right. right click the object, and in context menu, select "Remove group" can erase "plug-ins" effect (like shadow, text path animation, etc..)

I can remove the effects without a problem, but I am not seeing the 'remove group' menu option that you are referring to. I just hit the delete button and that does it.
How about a screen shot of the menu with the 'remove group' option showing.

Hi all, thanks for all the input. The "ungroup" on the standard vistitle screen ( not the plug in screen) works perfectly. This is a bit obscure (to me anyway, and I have the printed out manual!) but thanks to you guys I have a solution as usual.
                  Cheers!

I must be dense this morning, but ungroup is greyed out each time I use a title or a shape. I have only seen that option with path.

You're looking in the wrong direction.
Rodpikes question was about plugin-effects, not shader options.

If you are applying a plugin-effect (like shadow) to any object in VisTitle, you can remove the plugin by selecting the object and "ungroup" it via right click context menu.

Yep, I definitely was barking up the wrong tree there. I misunderstood the question.
