  • Edius 6.53 won't recognize VST plugins from Izotope RX2 demo

I'm trying various noise reduction products, and downloaded the test version of Izotope RX2. I can find the .dll files for Izotope, but even if I directly copy the .dll files into Edius Plugin/VST folder nothing shows up at all. Either the 32 bit or the 64 bit files. Any suggestions? Or does this not work as a plugin for Edius? It seems like a lot of people use it, but I just can't get it to show up at all.

    THANKS!

I have RX2 Advanced and works great, when you install it let the 64bit VST plugins install where RX2 wants to put them, with the 32 bit VST browse to Edius , plugins, VST and let them install there, should work fine, I also have Ozone 5 Advanced and works great as well, just check the install path when installing, also 64 bit VST wont work in Edius.

Hmmm...that's exactly what I did initially. I let it install, and then pointed Edius to that 32 bit folder...and I also did the alternate method of copying the 32 bit dll plugins directly into the Edius/Plugins/VST folder....but no luck.

I also downloaded Redunoise and installed that directly into the Edius/Plugins/VST folder and it instantly showed up as a plugin.

JUST FIGURED IT OUT...you can't use the Izotope folder plugins (Program Files (x86)/Izotope/etc. You have to go to Program Files (x86)/Steinberg/VST Plugins. Copy those into the Edius plugin/VST and it works fine! But it's under STEINBERG, not IZOTOPE.

Yep thats correct, thats where the VST plugins are installed, but it should have installed into Edius when you pointed the 32bit VST plugins to the Edius VST plugin folder as well.

there is no need to copy anything to EDIUS, just point EDIUS to that VST folder
