  • T5 Blu-ray & DVD Settings

    Hello,

I was looking through my T5 settings and realized there is a Blu-ray compliant template and just an mpeg template. The mpeg template offers a lot more video image settings. Same thing goes for DVD.

Do you use the Blu-ray or DVD template or the mpeg settings for your BD/DVD encoding?

I have been using the mpeg settings but thought it might be safer to use the BD/DVD compliant choice.

Your thoughts? Thanks for your input.

I use the template settings though really only use encode for DVD as I go straight from Edius for Bluray encode ( again using the Edius template for settings). As I mentioned in another post though if you are using T5 for Bluray then you will need to set the GOP correctly as the TMPGenc default is set at 30 rather than the 15 or 18 needed. DVDArchitect will not like and will halt on muxing. Not tried this with Encore but suspect the same.
