  • Edius 6: to use Magic Bullet without After Effects?

Hi, I use Edius 6 and I'd like to know if it is possible to use Magic Bullet Looks without installing After Effects CS4 x32.
    Thanks

32-bit version of Looks 2 works fine via EDIUS6 AE Bridge.
    You don't need AE.

This is correct. The installer wil create an Adobe folder.
I that folder you will see an Adobe affter effect CS3 or CS4 folder and a Common folder.
The Redgiant plun-ins reside in the common/plug-ins/CS3/Mediacore folder. CS3 can be replaced by CS4 depending on the install fyi.

Confirm, we use MB-Looks everytime via AE-Bridge. Works great and very stable. You can also use the presets, because it comes up with the MB-Mask.

Want to start learning to grade and looking at MB Looks 2. Is it still stable in Edius 6?

It's very fine - no problems - generally not real-time - but depends on your system.

For a better grading tool, use Da Vinci Resolve Light - free. Does not plug into Edius.

I have installed Magic Bullet Suite 11.4.2 32-bit but I don't see that folder. The plugins folder is empty. May be is it a wrong version? What version of Magic Bullet Suite do you use please?
                Thanks

                  search for .aex
see if you see looks in the list
Remember looks.aex is the correct one for 6.5 and lower
Looks64 is the right one for EDIUS 7.xxx

Also the suite contains plugs which are not compatible with EDIUS.

In my hard drive I don't have any looks.aex file. If my Magic Bullet Suite 11.4.2 32-bit contains plugs which are not compatible with EDIUS, which Magic Bullet have I use precisely please?

Sorry if you don't see the .aex you have not installed the plugins correctly or you should enable show hidden files and folders.
For correct installation information please consult the readme or the support faq of Redgiant.
This page will be very helpfull:

Looks is compatible but there are other plug-ins in the suite which are not compatible.
