    The way I do it
Draw the box for the picture
Select Use shader style to render

select Always use Image Color as Face color.

Then I add frame in custom Styles

The I choose the picture and adjust the frame to my liking.

This is the method I ue because I can choose Texture, sheen and such.
I can make it ugly if I want. :D

(I know some will say technically it is not a border. )

Thanks, that what we did, but was hoping for an easier way, like add outline.

that is what I do, I add outline and drop shadow and set blur etc.

as long as Select Use shader style to render is ticked, all the usual options will work

then when you add another image, it will automatically apply the same edging as long as Use shader style to render is ticked
