I was wondering if development of the AE bridge has come to a halt?

Whilst a few plugins do work, there are still many which do not, and there appears to be no additional implementation happening on newer releases of Edius.

My interest lies in trying to get more out of the magic bullet suite, whilst Looks does work, MB Denoiser, for example, does not, it causes the video to vanish!

Other MB useful devices are not really controllable with the AE Bridge interface.

NeatVideo noise reducer appears in the AE tree, but likewise, has no effect on the clip.

      Strange...

As stated in another thread, Magic Bullet DeNoise, which is very good, works in AE, but has no effect in Edius via the AE bridge either - there appears to be no noise reduction software that works in Edius - period - any offers?

Correct, shows up in the AE bridge but doesn't work.

At present you can only de-noise outside of Edius ............

Hi Tony... it is part of RED5 which is kind of a suite of FX and compositing tools that's a plug-in for Edius 6... it is also available in Boris Continuum Complete but AFAIK not as a unit.

Does it compare with Neat Video... Tony thats a tough question and to be honest I have not used either enough to make a call either way.... I can say I have used the Boris filter with good results on several VHS conversions... it was quite slow to process. This would make for some good comparative testing at some point when time allows.

I've just downloaded the trial to test this out - all the Noise reduction soft takes a while to render out - it's pretty intensive.

lets see if it's Neat or not

I'm not going to bother uploading stills, I'm too busy - but the Neat plug is way way, WAY better than Boris 5

Bring it on - someone at GV really needs to get this together - no usable noise reduction within Edius -

And keep asking the Neat folks to develop an Edius plug-in since they have several others.

I have been in contact wih the developer a while back and as NeatVideo is AE compatible he suggested that GV should fix the bridge.

Looks like we need votes to try to get GV to take a closer look at it.

Looks like GV is "draging the chain" a bit on this issue. I have Neat Video v3 and it works very, very well. I use it as a plug-in in After Effects (CS5) and only wish that Edius had it as a plug in. Surely if you have a great NLE such as Edius, wouldn't it make sense to have it use as many tools as possible to support it and make it even better? Come on GV, get the ball rolling again.

                          This has been answered before:
There are currently 2 noise reduction filters which work. One in Boris effects RED and one from New Blue.

At this time we are not expanding support for plug-ins via the AE bridge.
Or focus is currently on EDIUS 6, EDIUS 3d preview and expanding development for native plug-ins.

This may or may not change in the future but it is not Company policy to discuss this.
In the mean time if the Boris noise reducer or the New Blue one don't do the job for you I would suggest to use Neat Video via VD or AE.

We do recognize the usefulness of Neat Video as a tool.

                          Thanks for understanding,
