Updating to VitaScene 1.1 (or 2?) - why am I failing? :)

Hey folks - I've got Edius 6.06 and I've run the file from http://www.prodad.de/gb/vitascene-service-pack.html as well as the direct link from the Grass Valley page which downloads the same file.

Now I have a Vitascene-1.1 directory next to my Vitascene-1.0 directory in the proDAD folder but it does not appear in Edius anywhere?

When I apply a vitascene filter or transition I am still seeing the version 1.0 status.

I note the Vitascene-1.1 folder has a vitascene.exe in it, whereas the 1.0 folder doesn't, if I double click this exe it asks me to register vitascene?

So what am I doing wrong? Isn't 1.1 a service update? Because since 6.06 vitascene has been crashing on me quite consistently (as in crashing edius in entirety).



Also I've been getting told that the system is GPU limited since updating to 6.06, never happened before? Using a 1 gig NVIDIA GT540M with i7-2630QM @ 2 GHz and 6gb of ram.

My recommandation:
de-install VS1.o and v1.1
check and delete Vitascene.tpi from EDIUS PlugIn folder
check and clear registry for "Vitascene"

Install the full version 1.1

http://www.prodad.de/setup/Download-(1)(support+vitascene)-vitascene-11-edius.exe

you will get the latest version 1.1.144 (just ignore info from history)

I've done the first bits (all the uninstalls) but the download manager fails;

Excellent! Got the version updated. Thank you kindly. Not sure if there is any actual change but it doesn't seem to be giving me the GPU message or crashing now :)

Still struggling to find a look that is any better than the standard Edius fade up and down putting a 2nd video track above another, or the 2d dissolve :)
