Judging by the cost of the version for Vegas @$300, I don't think it will be much cheaper than Vistitle. I still think Vistitle is the best so far......

Just took a quick look at the demo video. I couldn't find out if you can use the video background for placing titles. That is a must have for me.

It doesn't appear so. But, that might just be a Vegas thingy. I just saw grey, black and white backgrounds.

The titler can be used just like an effect dropped on a clip. The creation window background is as you say a choice of white, black or grey but the title appears in realtime over the video in the Vegas preview monitor. Seems very easy to use. I have only just got it so will play a bit more before I comment.

The one thing I would be curious about is how much does it bog down if you use some of the filters from New Blue filters such as the ones in Edius. It says it will do that. I know they were moving to gpu driven effects....I am curious if it is here yet.

I will find out in a couple of weeks. This week I have a couple of projects to get done and since I need to install a good video card to really make both Vegas 11 and the titler work it will have to wait until the projects are finished to take the PC apart !!! Will report back first week of November. Both by the way reported on installation they would not work correctly with just the onboard Intel video.

It did a simple title over an AVCHD file much like TMP worked just fine. Will have to wait to try anything fancy. The warning I guess was for the 3D and GPU accelerated filters included in Vegas.

                          Ron,
The one thing I would hope for is the pass through out to reference monitor. It sounds as if it would work, but you can never know until it is on a system.
Price is in the ballpark of Vistitle. Hopefully, Vistitle will get the dongle issue settled because that is turning a lot of people off.
But I have to say, doing 3d in the New Blue titler looks easier than it is to do in Vistitle.
Whether or not it is realtime will depend on it's success with Edius. 1 layer won't cut it. Even with older machines.
With New Blue's record of none RT, my main reason for not purchasing it, if the titler won't work in RT, it won't sell.

I don't have Vegas set up for external monitor as I normally use for just audio but if it is showing on the preview it will show on an external monitor through something like the Blackmagic card ( I have taken mine out now ).

If it will play out to monitor, the background color doesn't matter then.
If the gpu part of the titler works, hopefully, they will convert-or start making everything GPU controlled from now on.
I did notice that Vegas 11 has dropped XP support. I tried to load it onto my system with an Intensity Pro card and it stopped the install because of not having Vista or WIn 7.
