VisTitle failed to run after windows update

Hi,

Today, we had get the report from customers about VisTitle failed to run after windows (win7 64 ultramate vertion) update. After research this issues, we got a way to fix this issues.

Please unintall the security update KB2567680, this is the killer of current VisTitle. Until now, we donot have idea why this update stop the VisTitle work, but we are sure it is the keypoint of issues. If this KB2567680 is uninstalled, VisTitle will work again.

Before we got the solution to fix this issues, please donot update KB2567680, or uninstall this update in control panel.

I uninstalled the Windows security update as Jack suggested, but I now have "Preparing to configure Windows, do not turn off your computer" displayed for the past 15 minutes!

This seems a long time, and not sure what to do now?

If your system hangs on you have no other choice to do that!
As most often you have to expect a best & a worst case! ;)

Some informations can be lost. We don't know what has been done behind in clean up stage! ;)

Phew!!..... Panic over for the moment, the screen has just gone back to the desktop after one hour.

I hope this doesn't happen to everyone trying to remove this security patch.

I'm experiencing the same problem, Last night when we went to shut down we got the windows update warning and did not shut down. When we came in this morning it was on 6 of 12 updates, the same as last night so we shut down. Now Vistitle does not work.

Update... rolled back the system restore and did the maual updates and all is find. I did not innstall KB2567680.

Things like this are the very reason I will not have my editing PC connected to the internet. I know I am fighting a losing battle, but I simply refuse to use a program that requires internet connection.

I'm with you there! I resent the assumption on the part of software developers that every computer is always connected to the internet.

Unfortunately, I use two Pegasys products, so have to connect from time to time to "re-validate" the licenses. Excellent software, daft idea.

I ONLY connect when I choose to and have to! When do I connect I'm usually nagged to update various things, but if I accept the updates I always make a system image first.

In my case, Windows updates are set to manual and I only connect to the internet when I need to.

I don't think anyone would have predicted that updating Windows with a security patch would have stopped Vistitle working.

I suspect the problem is more to do with Vistitle than Windows.

System restore could have been easier than going through to delay waiting for my system to unistall the patch.

John, I uninstalled it and it really took no more time than a normal uninstall. ?
