  • Software compatibility request

Some time ago I installed a LG Blu Ray Burner in my main Edius workstation. I am so paranoid about installing other software on my workstations that I would like to have a recommendation for Blu Ray playback software that is compatible with Edius 5.51. Although I have purchased two copies of the 6.0 upgrade I have no intentions of installing 6.x on my current NX XP machines.

Would some of you recommend a good play back software for Blu Ray?

    Thanks

I use PowerDVD 10. It's a very good solution to DVD and Blu-ray. Look at Cyberlink's site to know all interesting features (image, sound, 3D and so). Compatible with Edius 5 and 6.

Award-winning Windows and mobile apps. Video & photo editing. Video playback via online, DVD & Blu-ray. Video conferencing, livecasting, online chat, mobile.

I use Total Media Theater 3. Another thing that Anton made me spend money on ;-)

Maybe I am behind the times, but I
use an actual Sony BDP-S1 player. I have
never liked the look of video on a computer
monitor and I have a 30" Cinema display.
I use it to test button and menu performance.
In software this usually works correctly everytime.
When I play it in the player, this is where
I locate issues. Players are cheap, $65-$85.
          That competes with some software!

Thanks for your input guys. My editing suite is in another building than my Blu Ray player and 50 inch LED flat screen. At the present, I have to leave the editing suite and go over to another building to play the BD-R I just burned. What I am looking for is a program that will work on the same computer that just burned the BD-R just to see if it plays properly. This of course with no Edius compatibility problems.

As usual the suggestions found on this forum are always helpful and I appreciate what you have posted.

            Thanks
