That's all I did. Not sure if that is the approved way?

It did ask me to install the key driver and Direct X which is included in the package.

        1.5.3 have two new installer:

        1) one is a FULL installer, it is bigger, and is for clean installtion. we suggest install this after uninstall old version.

        2) another one is a update installer, it is small, and is for upgrade your VisTitle 1.x to 1.5.3. Just install it to upgrade your VisTitle to 1.5.3 without unstall old version.

I did not see the updater, which is listed on the webpage to the right of the full installer package. It is here:

I actually used the full installer over the top of the 1.5.2 version. Seemed to work OK though.

Thanks Steve download was much quicker, still had some problems in that when applying the update it was asking for a Serial No and when i entered it said it dint match the hardware, uninstalled and put the full installer in, it didnt ask for serial no.

I noticed this too. The full installer seems to read the serial number off of the dongle. If you check About once you have Vistitle open, you will see that it has the correct serial number.

Let me clarify that I did not have any problems with the updater, but I just helped a friend load Visttile from scratch with the full installer.

If you use the copy serial no. option in about then paste it when serial is requested in update it works ????? even though it rejected it when typed in

Yes, I love the copy serial number option. It is too easy to make a mistake typing it in.

While this thread is about Vistitle 1.5.3 - I would like to ask those here how it compares to Titlemotion Pro and QuickTitle.

I'm thinking about overall ease of use and stability and not so much features. Basic needs for NLE are covered by QuickTitler, but I would like a real preview without having to render the frame.

I tried the first versions free and it was promising nice software, but was buggy and crashed a lot.

Me no pay for crashy stuff.

Ithought so too - nice trendy, clean, easy, feature rich and very useable.

BUT my version on 3 different platforms very buggy, even for version 1.

It was so nice I would have bought it, If I didn't have other possibilities in house.

Life's too short for crashing/buggy software.
