  • Help from Vistitle Users

I don't own Vistitle, but if this is possible, I may!
I have a client that is (let's say) fussy about how titles appear on screen.

They want the spacing between the words to be about half that of an ordinary space.

Yes, a workaround is possible by making spaces half sized font, but what a PITA! Stretching the text is not an option.
This is a three-year project and if Vistitle will do this I'm calling George D. today!

    Come on Vistitle users...
    where's the answer?

Quicktitler is failing me today and I think I'm going to lose my marbles!!!

The one and only font I can use in this project is causing me fits!
I can't seem to follow the lower case "f" with the lower case "i". Imaging trying to type the word "Office". My workaround is to add a 1 pt. period "." between the f and i.

BTW, I'm grappling with the font "Frutiger LT Std 45 Light"

Yes, TMP works, but the answer is NOT TMP!

        See attached picture files.

One is from QuickTitler, another is from VisTitle.

"1" is a space width. "2" is a char width. In default, both quicktitler and VisTitle, "1" is half size of "2". Do your means is this ?

I am sorry, maybe I have a mistake to understand your means. Can you make some pcitures to show your clients requirements?

he wants to know if it is possible to make the space marked as 1 narrower, possibly only half the width

in other words, variable space width

              Thanks VX,
Please, oh please say Vistitle can fix my "Word Spacing" problem! This is a three-year project!

The attachment is what my client needs with word spacing requirements.
I can fix the font overlap problem with TMP, but I can't get the speed, ease or control I like with Quicktitle and it does not handle the word spacing.

My overlap problem may actually be the Win7/font issue that plagued so many using E5 not so long ago!

So your client wants space between words closer than what you show on your example? That will be very close.

The example is how they want it.

                    Dang!

I fear Vistitle may not be the answer ether!
It appears that Vistitle does not support Open Type fonts!

                    I need to use FrutigerLTStd-Light.otf

I DL the font and placed it in the Windows Font folder and did not see it in Vistitle.

Those letters are going to be extremely close together. Is this to be played on something smaller than a 40" set? Hope not.

There was a bug in version 1.0 of Vistitler that had corrupt shader styles causing strange problems like in your screenshot

I believe there is an update somewhere in case you have 1.0 or have upgraded from 1.0
