    Hi,
    Is anyone using Sonic Scenarist? and if so how are you finding it? Does it accept Edius files? Canopus HQ ect.

      It wont accept Canopus AVI files Steve. And I hope this is a short thread because anybody who asks questions about how to use Scenarist here would need to show us their license. (Andrew excepted) but then people with it don't need to ask in such places. :)

        Mark you would have better luck winning the lottery then someone showing you or any one their lic for Scenarist.....

          You don't really need Scenarist, unless you're authoring the a DVD for the film Gladiator.

          DVD Studio Pro is one of the other highly regarded authoring applications out there. It's Mac only, though. Very affordable.

            I like the lottery post. :)

            I was given a demo of Scenarist a few years ago - crazy program and incredibly comprehensive. For $23K, it's a bit over-the-top for most people other than for-tv / broadcast applications, but to each his own.

            Most of the few-hundred-dollar programs are more than enough for most people and the only guess that I could assume is someone trying to use one of the pirated versions that can be found....because getting a license for it is so expensive and it's a very particular program.
