    Crazy-good video!

Is your computer performance effected by the BCF-2000?
(we know about the mixer sluggishness... is there a difference?)

How is the BCF-2000 with 4.61?

to be honest there are lost of problems between Edius and the BCF.
        I have one.
If you are used to mixer control in audio apps you will certainly pull your hair when you hook up a bcf 2000 to edius.

I have a JL Cooper Fadermaster 4/100 which probably exhibits the same sort of problems as the BCF. Mixer control surface integration in Edius is almost there, but not quite. The software designers would do well to look at how this is implemented by Av*d.

I'm not surprised. I worked for Behringer in Willich Germany for a short while. Their equipment today is substandard (made in China to the lowest bidder) compared to the equipment made in Germany many years ago. Uli Behringer is constantly looking for the cheapest parts to use as well.

I was very unimpressed by their tech. department and research team.

JL Cooper is at the other end the spectrum... very well made and professional.

              Hi,

I have just now wanted to buy a BCF.

Is there any alternative under EUR 1000,-

I should have a device being compatible also with Samplitude...

              Thanks,

              I

Does anyone have real-world experience with the Behringer BCF-2000 as what it will do in Edius? If it actually will adjust audio levels via the faders rather than mousing up & down, I'm willing to try it. If it will adjust audio levels, do the faders' positions then jump around on playback to reflect the adjusted levels? In other words, is there feedback from Edius to the Behringer?
Also, can the faders or knobs be used to adjust other things, like video levels?
                Thanks

                  Hi,

                  I have just now bought a BCF2000.

Even though it is not optimised yet, I can already make the followings:

                  - Adjusting Volume (There is also a feedback from the faders)
                  - I can choose the channels (nothing, touch, write etc)

the four buttons in the down-right corner:

                  - I can switch on/off the Edius-mixer
                  - I can stop/start the video
                  - I can play the video forward and backward (with different speeds)

These four buttons can be changed on a free way. (You can choose the propern command in Edius (Plug-in / BCF2000)

If I know well, you can choose the potmeters (the first button raw...) to set balance. It does not work at me yet...

Please download the application "BC Edit" from Behringer and install the JRE 1.4.2_3 from Sun. This is a very good preset editor for BCF2000. It can happen it allows you to set up your BCF2000 on a better way.

It makes sense anyway to make audio in an other application.

I use Samplitude 9.12 Classic. It supports BCF200 on a much better way. It makes no sense to get mad in Edius. Make everything about audio on a special application..

                  Regards,

                  I.

I notice Caminostereo is running the BCF2000 on a Vista x64 machine.

I have just confirmed with Beringer that there are NO Vista drivers let alone 64 bit ones.

Are you just running the mixer with XP drivers and hoping for the best? This could be part of the problem.

I think I will wait until Vista drivers are available (they are not even in beta for this piece of hardware yet)
