    Hi John.

There’s been no change with Gen 11 since its release. As for Gen 12, I’ve personally not tried but as Bob has mentioned in a few posts, this is problematic as well. Although Gen 12 is also likely to need something more specific for Win11 as far as Edius is concerned.

It’s a safe bet that we won’t know anything until the next update of Edius. Although I’m personally expecting really good news as far as DG1 and DG2 are concerned.

    Cheers,
    Dave.

It is recommended to use amd5900x or Intel 10900k. Edius8 does not work properly on 11th and 12th Intel CPU。
If it is determined that 4K h265 format is rarely used, AMD CPU is recommended.

scheduling problem in the 12th processor. The tasks originally given to the P core will be inexplicably given to the E core. performance is very poor
So far, ediusx is not compatible with 11 12th Intel. 8.53, let alone.

Hi John. I'd imagine that anything to do with compatibility for 10 may be similar with 8. In the past when I've used two versions of Edius on two different machines, I seem to remember things like the Intel driver and my BMD drivers were the same, I'd imagine this would be the same moving forward. In any event, all versions of Edius would need an update to use Gen 12, again, this is more likely to be Win11 specific. Pat has already said that the next updates are due soon, I'm assuming that's for all versions of Edius. Bob has also added some info above.

          Cheers,
          Dave.

Thanks for the replies. I do hope there is a fix for Edius 8, as I don't want to change that at the moment.

Slightly off topic but do we know if E8 will still work on W11. If not then make sure you have a fallback position in case pc updates un-noticed.
