I know there has been discussions about Edius X and CPUs, but has anyone had any success using Edius 8 and the new 11th or 12th Gen Intel CPUs?

There’s been no change with Gen 11 since its release. As for Gen 12, I’ve personally not tried but as Bob has mentioned in a few posts, this is problematic as well. Although Gen 12 is also likely to need something more specific for Win11 as far as Edius is concerned.
It’s a safe bet that we won’t know anything until the next update of Edius. Although I’m personally expecting really good news as far as DG1 and DG2 are concerned.
Cheers,
Dave.

It is recommended to use amd5900x or Intel 10900k. Edius8 does not work properly on 11th and 12th Intel CPU。
If it is determined that 4K h265 format is rarely used, AMD CPU is recommended.
scheduling problem in the 12th processor. The tasks originally given to the P core will be inexplicably given to the E core. performance is very poor
So far, ediusx is not compatible with 11 12th Intel. 8.53, let alone.CPU:AMD R9 5950X GPU:GTX1050 MEM: Micron 4G DDR4 2400x4
motherboard:ASrock X570 matx
SSD:intel p3600 sata HDD: HGST 8Tx5 raid0
Power:Great Wall EPS2000BL 2000W
OS WIN10 20H2

Thanks for the replies. I do hope there is a fix for Edius 8, as I don't want to change that at the moment.Edius 8.53WG, Vistitle 2.8, Windows 10 x64 Pro Fall Update, Asus Z87 Pro, Intel i7-4770K, 16 GB 1600 Corsair Vengence LP RAM, Samsung 840 Pro SSD 256GB, WD Black 2TB media drive, Intel HD 4600 GPU, MSI GTX660 2GB VGA, Coolermaster Silencio 652 case, Noctua NH-U12S CPU cooler, Cakewalk UA-25EX USB audio interface, Cakewalk MA-15D monitor speakers, BM Intensity Pro 4K, PlextorPX-LB950SA BD writer, Dell U2410 Monitor
