What do you intend on installing on the motherboard?
How many sata ports are needed?
    Are you using M.2 drives?
What cards, other than the GPU, will be installed?
What motherboard resources will absolutely have to be available?

Personally I would go with neither. They are both massively overpriced for what you get
This one should work just as well

That doesn't say what motherboard only the manufacturer and the chipset. Which specific board are you looking at? Personally I like the G1.Sniper Z170

If you can wait, the Kabylake chip would be the best choice for your money. Along side the chip release, I'm sure there will be updated motherboards catering to the chip.
Base clock speed for the 7700k is reported to be 4.2 with boost to 4.5. I've seen suggested retail pricing in the US at $349.

The new motherboards may also have the new 200 chipset series. While this won't be drastically different it will support Intel Optane: " The new tech utilizes Intel’s 3D XPoint memory to deliver high-performance SSDs and memory solutions."

As I said, if you go for the 6700K it uses newer RAM, supports more RAM, has a faster interface and the motherboard will also support the new Kaby lakes due out in around 2-3 months, so yes it would make more sense to buy the 6700K.

As a general rule the faster the CPU etc the more you get out of Edius

Well, I know that is 6700k faster than 4790k, but that we will be more worthwhile to take?

Just do a comparison on the Intel website.

6700K supports DDR 4 RAM, supports up to 64GB RAM, has a larger and faster interface between the CPU and the chipset and the motherboard will be compatible with the next desktop CPU (Kaby Lake)that is officially launched in January.

    Either chip will be fine.
The 6700k is newer tech and maybe 5% faster than the 4790k.
I would go that route unless, you can get the 4790K for an incredible price.
