  • i7 4770k vs i7 2600k on export h264 with hardware acceleration

is a big difference on export a h264 video file with intel quick sync activated between i7 4770k and i7 2600k ????? 4770k is more powerfull or don't worth it an upgrade??

If you are planning on updating merely for the possible QS speed increase, it really isn't worth it. For example, I updated from an Ivybridge processor and I think the speed increase was under 5 seconds for QS exports.
The big plus with the Haswell processors is that they can use QS for UHD export.
Personally, skip the 4770k and go straight to the 4790k. It has better overclocking abilities and runs cooler. I get a lot of performance out of the Devils Canyon processor. I also have it water cooled for overclocking.
There is a marked difference between my 3770k running at 4.5 and my 4790k running at 4.7. Going from a 2600k you will see a major performance boost while editing.
Where you will gain more is in the chipset features.

Just to second what Jerry is saying. If you do upgrade the Devils's Canyon is great, for value and power you can't go far wrong.

thank you! have you any idea? in edius 7,with 4790k can i play in real time (in timeline) a video which has been applied a filter (Color Fast Corection )from Newblue fx ? I have 32 gb ram and gtx570 video card. With 2600k can't play smoothly a video in timeline with a colorfast corection or vitascene filter.

Using the main system in my signature I can get both Colorfast and Vitascene filters to play in Real Time. If you add both to the same clip they will play in Real Time with using shift+spacebar.
Try that with your 2600 and see if the clip will play with colorfast on it.
If you do move to the 4790k to use GPU effects I would get a newer video card. The GTX 960-980 cards are very nice. I'm very happy with my GTX 780. But, the GTX 980 is a little faster and uses less power.
If you plan on doing 4K I would invest in the GTX 970 or 980.

Doesn't holding down Shift + Space actually render frames until the buffer is full before starting playback, so technically not real time as the frames have all been pre-rendered.
Does the buffer stay full or does it slowly drop down as it plays?

If you're asking about mine, yes, the buffer fills
and stays filled. It depends what is after it. A shift + G
is better. Shift+ Spacebar is more for a preview.
