  • Decklink 4K | does it support 3D with EDIUS HQX?

The Blackmagic Decklink 4K supports capture of dual stream 3D via SDI (and HDMI) but does it support this in EDIUS V7?

If so, what codec and how many files? Would it capture 2 x HQX or a single dual stream HQX?
    AMD Ryzen 9 5950X, RTX 3080, 64GB RAM, EDIUS X WG.

Playback is different than with the Storm 3G. The decklink unit supports Dual Stream output natively with Edius, where the Storm 3g will need the GV ADVC G3 in order to process a dual stream output.

Right, so the Storm 3G can already capture dual stream via a single 3G SDI? i wasn't aware of that, there you go. But the playback I knew you couldn't do with Storm 3G as the HDMI isn't V1.4

However, the question really is, with the BMD 4K card, and capturing via 2 independent SDI feeds and EDIUS 7, is a single HQX interleaved file generated or two separate files.. or even do you have the option.

Are you sure you can really capture from both SDI ports at the same time? On the Decklink DUO (with EDIUS 7) you can not.

          Thanks Jerry.
Regardless, the BMD 4K is the device I am more worried about,

This is how how I have done it for now. 2 instances of Media Express at the same time, works well , I just have to trim the I/O points after capture to align each eye.
