  • HDSpark with Edius 5.12 on W7

I've had a big problem with the HDSpark card. But not anymore.

I recently bought the EDIUS 5.12 with HDSpark card set.

I work with a 3.0 Ghz Intel DualCore Proc with a lot of HD space and EDIUS 5.12 combined with the HDSpark card and my OS is Windows7.
All is well installed. Edius recoqnizes the card and the HDMI port works fine with the TVmonitor set.
The only thing what I had to do was learning to work with this combination.
Now I've read a lot of messages on the different Fora and started to work with it and got more nad more experienced. Now I can say to be very glad having bought this combination!

It works very fine under Windows7 Ultimate. Absolutely no problems.

I was too soon with my message.
    With kindly regards to everyone.

First of all there is no support for Windows 7.

Second AVCHD must be converted to canopus HQ (full HD).
There is a free converter for that is in the download area.

Third EDIUS Neo booster can EDIT AVCHD native in real time now.

(I think you did not do your research. )

So my advise is batch convert with the AVCHD to HQ converter and you will be able to edit in FUll HD (not lower resolution as you wrote) without any quality loss.

(Ik denk dat je even goede informatie moet inwinnen alvorens zo te klagen dit zijn echt gebruikers problemen. goede tip een beetje minder schreeuwen werkt altijd om goede hulp te krijgen van forum leden. :)

And fourth the Spark card only provides external monitoring. It does nothing as far as editing power is concerned.

Correct. I forgot to add that one.
I think the Op will be very happy editing in HQ. We just need to help him find the right workflow.

I think Steve hit the nail on the head. You need to do your research prior to
purchasing anything. Also, I think he may be a little under powered with just a dual
core 3.0(unless it is the extreme edition). Even with Neo and Booster, he would not reap
the full benefits of Booster due to the Proc model and speed. He will be able to edit
1440x1080 files pretty easily, that said, if working in 1920x1080 he will be reduced to
1 or two streams of HQ-depending on whether he has a fast raid or just drive space.
More than likely he is using an older video card that does not have a hefty GPU for
          the effects.

I think you have a hard time finding any working driver for XP x64, you really want to go there ?
As far as I know none of the GV software is endorsed for XP x64.

I'm so sorry having said what I said about EDIUS 5.12

                            Hi everyone,

I really am sorry having said to be sorry having bought EDIUS5.12 with the HDSpark card! Because I have had a totally other awaiting from this combination as it was and that was my mistake.
But after I have had read a lot of satisfied reactions on more then one Forumboard, I said to myself: "Gerard YOU have to be wrong somewhere because it is impossible that a lot of users are totally satisfied and you are not."
So I did what other users did before me. Not complaning and working with the combination and get the experience of working with a fantastic combination!

So I really apollogize for what I have said before and I'm turned over to be (and to stay) a really beliefer in the Greenvally EDIUS 5.12 program suite.

I hope everyone who I heart with my sayings will accept my apollogie.

                            With kindly regards.
