  • Save DVD authoring settings

I am using the new Edius 5 and would like to save all the info I enter when authoring the DVD in case I need to burn the DVD again. Anyone know how?
    Thanks.

in the output dialogue, set a work folder and tick to keep files

then you can burn the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS as often as you like with Nero or ImgBurn etc

Thanks for the reply. That will work if I want to burn a duplicate. But what I do is burn a DVD for my client, they tell me what changes to make then I make another DVD and so on. I would like to simply make CHANGES to my DVD menu and not have to type in everything over again for each version of DVD. Especially when it's a minor menu change. It sounds like I can't save the menu I make. Is that true?
      Thanks again.

oh, in that case, after you make the first DVD, click Return, and then say yes to saving the DVD project

Yes, it is that simple! I am burning to DVD a series of 20+ conferences where all I have to change is the title/subtitle/speaker info.

So I created a master project where I imported the first source video, added markers for chapter points (just for the viewer to be able to jump 3 minutes in case he needs to go back or forth to a certain point in time), and set up the DVD with all the info. Then, on subsequent projects all I have to do is import and place the new source video on the timeline and update the DVD with the new title etc. Very simple indeed.
