  • How do you do this in 3D PIP?

I searched through the EDIUS 5 PDF - but, I failed to find the answer.

Let's say I have a small window for a video "A" (in 3D PIP) against the background of another video "B".

Video "A" is originally as large as the background video "B".

Let's say video "A" is divided into 4 portions (Upper Right, Lower Right, Upper Left, Lower Left).

EDIUS has a default placement of video "A" when I put it into a small window.

My question 1 - how do I move the video "A" (without actually moving the window with respect to "B") so that video "A" shows ... let's say - Upper Right of the original "A"? Then after 10 seconds, the window pans to Upper Left. Got my idea?

Question 2 - is there any way to scale down "A" so that the entire video can be seen in the window (instead of having it display a portion of the video "A")?

    Simple:
Put your scale and movement point on the same end position.
This will create the illusion of a shrink to the any place you want.
You can also do it with the layout tool.

I am not very sure what you mean. Can explain it a bit more? Thanks.
And which question are you answering? 1 or 2?
