since you're still running edius in a windows environment, it's the same answer as for the regular PC crowd: Intensity will not work at the same time as edius

Edius flies on my 2.66G MacPro using Bootcamp. It's a pity that real time HD monitoring is not available, GV ought to consider making NX and Expansion cards for the MacPro as I'm sure that many FCP editors could be enticed to the speed and simplicity of edius.

Wouldn't the NXExpress work in a Mac Pro considering that they're just plain 2 PCIe cards? I know someone said that the [email protected] RTX2 works with it.
The MacPro has 3 PCIe slots (4 if you count the graphics port). I guess no one has tried this yet.

I don't think we're all talking about using an Intensity card for WYSIWYG, and since this affects windows just as much as mac, I will start a new threadHarris

It just seemed real clunky whereas Bootcamp just worked like a windows machine maily because there no virtual machine about it its just a second partition. Id use paraless if I only need something like office for windows.
I only need to boot Bootcamp for FireWire capture into Avid Liquid. From that point through making HD DVDs I can use any PC application -- except EDIUS -- as an application while using OS X. The PC applications are in my OS X dock and run like any other OS X application.
If there was a way to force EDIUS to not use DirectDraw Overlays and simply write video to the display -- it would join the other PC applications in running on a Mac.
