It is an AVCHD camcorder, so you should be running v4.61 with the latest free AVCHD2HQ converter utility.

These updates can be obtained through the Web site, after registering your copy of EDIUS.

Not having a AVCHD cam, but can't you play out and capture HQ using OHCI ?

Most systems can't convert real time, affordable setups I mean.
