  • Edius 5 Information Pallette behavior

With Edius 4.5 I could color adjust a clip and if the next clip needed the same adjustment, provided I still had the first clip selected in the time line I could simply drag that setting from the Information Palette window onto this next clip. Very simple..

With Edius 5.01 this is not possible any longer since as soon at the time line cursor is moved past the first clip the Information Palette window shows nothing, so now I must reselect the first clip again to access it's color setting filter, tedious since I do this a lot.

Yes, I know all about making custom filters, don't want to do that, this is a very temporary need, I would finish up with thousands of custom filters and be unable to name them all to anything useful.

Just wondering if this is new behavior is by design or a bug?

The behavior in E5 is the same...
If the clip is selected, the information is displayed regardless of the cursor position. If you click elsewhere, clip selection is lost.

In that case my installation must have gone wrong somewhere. Maybe I should try a re-install?

        Rusty,

thanks for the quick reply, I was working with a project originally started with Edius 4.5 where I came up against the problem.

Now I just this minute opened a project started with Edius 5.01 last week where I also captured using it and what do you know, it doesn't have this issue!

Phew... so it's going to work just the same once I catch up.
