  • Help!! Why can't I use Edius 5.0 correctly??

the problem i am expereincing is that:
when i import a mpeg file, the video becomes out of sync
when i try to fix it, i can't cut the right audio timing (either slower or fast)
but, when using 4.5 version, everything was normal and fine.
In 5.01, i can't cut the right timing, unless:
i change the setting of my import, take out the check on my PTS.
then in that, i could cut my audio right, but still don't see my video (it's green)
    in short:
    1. why i can't see my picture when I check on PTS?
    2. why can't i cut my audio right in 5.01?

    thanks guys, a thouands thanks

I do ALL my editing in MPEG without any issues - if u have PTS jumps it usually means frame drops = slow disk.

If your source is bad - u will be forever messing about with audio synch until u pull all yr hair out.

Have a look at www.womble.com as that is a dedicated mpeg editor and has GOP and other mpeg fixer utils.

I use this s/w - its basic but good at Mpeg stuff and doesnt recode simple cuts etc

All my source mpeg was encode by mpeg encode card (composer)or DVD import by EDIUS
          DISKcapature function...
And all these files can be used without any problems but green screen(while I
          disable Don't USE PTS).....
          .........
          Anyway, Thanks A Lot...
