Edius 5 and transitions..

Anyone had this when doing a same track transition (any inc. simple dissolve)

'THE DATA NECESSARY TO COMPLETE THIS OPERATION IS NOT YET AVAILABLE"

then the transitions fails to appear.

My source stuff is MPEG 2 off camcorder - was all working fine the other day. any ideas?

So are the clips in question, saved or captured to a hard drive on your system?

Saved - my camcorder throws out ready made MPEG-2 files which up until today have edited fine.

I am now thinking maybe a plugin is to blame somehow? HEROGLYPH - as i installed that today but havent used it yet

I would certailny try uninstalling it and then see if the transition works. If so, reinstall Hieroglyph and check the transition again.

Thanks PJ for the suggestion - I found it was my own fault - I had a music clip on another track and synch on - this stopped the clips from rippling up.
solution was turn synch off (or I could have used extend clips for same track trans)
