  • "Process has been cancelled" message

After choosing to burn to DVD (PAL) within EDIUS, setting the parameters and then burn, the progress bar seems to be working then the disk ejects and a message "Process has been cancelled" appears. If I close the DVD drawer and click burn again the process continues as normal. Has anyone else
    has this happen?

Try burning something with another program i.e Nero, Ashampoo, ect, sounds like a Windows error to me.

Thanks Steve. I have checked and the burner software is up to date.
I have only had the problem since upgrading to E5. Using 4.61 was fine.

We have experienced this in the trial version of E5 on 2 exports, not sure why it is happening but have you changed the DVD Disc name field.

Both time this has heppend here was when we gave the Disc a unique name after reverting back to the default the project burned Ok, this may just have been a coincidence as the drive tray was recycled as in your case.

Will try to test some more when I have some spare time.

            Regards

            Dave.

Thanks Dave, Yes I did change the DVD name to one different from the default. I will leave at the default the next time I burn a disk. Lets see what happens then.

Just tried another DVD and left the default as "DVD". I still got
the "Process has been cancelled" message.

Sorry for the red herring Mike.

Both projects this has happened with at our end have been at 92% disc capacity not sure if your projects are in the same region or are lower, I have burned test discs at lower capacity's without this error, so it's a bit of a mystery at the moment.

I will get back to this sometime soon, just having a few problems exporting to QT H264 at the moment but ill post on that later when I am sure it is not me making the problem.

I was also wondering if the trial version may a little buggy! should have full version later this week.

                  Regards

                  Dave.

I am using the full version not a trial.
The DVD duration was only 2.5 mins.

To look closer we'll need some specs of the systems that are failing. It may help to also obtain that short, two minute project..
