  • edius 4.0 features vs. 3.62, multicam question

Am going to go to 4.0 soon, but am curious, other than nested sequences and multicam being the main new features, how is 4.0 different from 3.62 as far as general usability. is the interface the same?
on 3.62, i use keyboard shortcuts alot. are they the same on 4.0?is alt N and alt M for in/out points, as well as control D for separate the same in 4.0? what will be different that i will need to reabsorb?
    thanks
and on multicam, after i make all the cut points on the camera shots if i add dissolves on the new cuts, will the audio stay in sync?

Jim, I am sure that there is a list somewhere on the site about the differences but I can say this, The multican and nested sequences alone is well worth the upgrade!

I think you will happy with the features that you have.

I can tell you that some of the shortcuts have been changed such as your example of D for dividing clips... it is now C for cut.

The trim keys remain the same. :)

If you use Alt N and M alot, it is half broken, after you Alt N, the playhead will not return to the start of the clip, it stay where you cut it. )-:

try this and report back your findings:

untick all except for very first in applications settings/playback

        then test Alt+N...

Yeah I did that before and it works, but I don't want to untick any of those option, not an acceptable work around, I hope they would fix it.
