Edius 5 and DVstorm..did I waste my money?

Doesn't Edius 5 support DVstorm? I installed the upgrade and it uninstalled my old Edius 3.x along with storm driver and installed the Edius 5, but never reinstalled the storm driver, and when opened does not list it in the input options...?
So why didn't it install the Storm driver and is it possible to use the storm with Ed 5, I don't do HD..? thanks..t

Edius 5 doesn't support the DVStorm. The last version DVStorm users can run is V4.61. TGV told this as early as 03/12/2008:

yes, just saw that, so sorry for the post...I was wondering if Gv, will exchange my ed 5 for the upg to 4.x as i have 3.x ....t

DVStorm is not supported with v5 - you should contact your reseller to arrange for a return, particularly if they sold it to you with the promise of DVStorm support..

I'm quite sure that there will be a way to solve your issue. Since V5 is 'dongle ware' there should be no problem to return it. Call your dealer asap.

KH, i got it from you guys...at Grass Valley. I had spoken to support a couple mos. back about an activation issue with my 3.x and we discussed the storm and was strongly enouraged by the support fellow to get 5 as I would not have to activate anymore...so I did.

So I got it thru the upgrade deal from you guys at GV...I had intended to delete this thread as soon as finding the other but it had been replied to...I did pm you tho. I would be satisfied if I could return the v5 Edius for the upgrade to 4.6, instead of any refund...t

Thanks KH, not I am not complaining..i wish it did support the storm, but i do only SD, home movies of the kids and so forth....thanks..t
