NX and other Canopus boards are intended to send line level to an external audio monitoring system. I send mine to a desktop mixer and then to my monitors. If you want to hear through ordinary PC speakers you need to send the signal back through your PC sound card. To do this you need to route the NX audio to your "Line In" of your sound card. Be sure that the correct sound device is selected and the the volumes are set adequately for your setup.

Unfortunately, Edius cannot continue to play while adjusting sound properties.

Hi. You have the sound hooked up correctly for EDIUS but the Windows sound schemes comes from the sound card not the hardware sound chip of the EDIUS board.

Simply connect your onboard audio (or sound card) plus your EDIUS board RCA audio to a set of speakers, that has 2 x audio inputs. Obviously one is a mini jack (or buy a mini jack to RCA splitter) and the other RCA.

This way you hear both from the same speakers..... they may not be balanced (volume output) however. that's gonna need a pre-amp or similar.

Do i need to have a sound card?

Hello i am just starting to edit with the edius 4.6 version and i am experimenting many new things, one of these is that all the audio that is played in the edius program can be heard just by using the breakout box and my sound console, but when i go out of edius and try to listen to some music in my media player, there is no sound. Do i need to have a sound card? Cant i just hear all the sounds through edius?, this was what i was used to do with my old matrox, i mean both system and video editing sound were heard through the matrox breakout box.

    Some sugestion?
Working...
