HDStorm does not include Title Motion PRO software. You can purchase a TMP license seperately, I am unsure if installing a version 3 or 4 (form a previous EDIUS) will work- i have not had the chance to find out. -

Windows 7 is due to be released in 2010, very similar to Vista, but with a few more add on's ect, Can't say to much at the moment.

But then again, XP Pro is dead (Microsoft) and probably also by GV in 12 months (that's why Edius is Vista based in version 5). If you need to go forward Vista should be the path.Leave a comment:

I think the stability is equal on both. I have both OS and I would probably say that if you don't have a need to access more memory for multitasking, then I would probably stay with XP Pro. Remember that StormHD will not have VISTA64 drivers until Q1 of 2009Leave a comment:

stable
Currently i'm testing a vista32 and HDStorm+ configuration. Ran our old demo projects with 7 layers of HDV video (HQ codec) and it seems to me the performance is a bit lower compared to the edius NX using windows XP. Didn't have the chance to instal the storm in a xp configuration to check what's causing the lesser performance windows vista or the storm board. Overal stability is very good didn't experience crashes or bluescreens.
Next week we continue testing but for now the stability is better than any Matrox system i know of !Leave a comment:

Edius 5 HD Storm on Vista 32 bit
hi
Would like advice and expereinces of anybody loading Edius 5 with storm HD card on windows vista 32 bit.
Im doing a fresh install and am in two minds whcih to go. Would prefer vista for it is the new operating system, but if stabilty and program compatability is an issue then i rather stay with what i know i.e windows xp.
Advice would be appreciate
thanks in advance
