Copy/paste bug E5

I have a project with 2 sequences, after I copy all clips in sequence 2 and paste them on sequence 1, I can not save the project anymore, it saids "can not save project file. 0x8000ffff: Catastrophic failure."
I thought my project got corrupted and so I open a new project and imported the sequences and same thing happen. If I drag sequence 2 onto sequence 1 then it will work and I can save, so this is a bug, the reason I wanted to copy and paste all clips is because I wanted to closed sequence 2 so I will have less sequence, so that when saving project it save faster than when you have multiple sequences. I have been doing it this way everysince Edius has sequence so this is E5 bug.

I got "Catastrophic failure" couple days ago when I saved project, it scared the heck out of me (big project). However it did save the project and no problem afterward.

I tried to duplicate your error and the project was saved. What other things do you have on the 2nd sequence ?

Well my sequence 2 was originated from a 3 camera multicamera, after compressed to a single track and added dissolves then I copy and try to paste, it was a long sequence, 1hr. 17 minutes with color correction, motion blur, multiple layers, 6 audio tracks with izopte filters so it was not a simple short sequence, too bad you can not duplicated it, it is hard for them to fix if we can duplicated the problem.

The bug is real in E5.
I tested my project (1 hrs 55 with 5 video trks & 4 audio trks & many effects, filters). Call sq 1
First I created new sequence (sq 2) - copy all tracks from sq 1 to sq 2 - save project OK.

I copied all tracks from sq 2 to sq 1 ... "save as" and/or "save" : this message display:
"Can not Save the project file
0x8000ffff: catastrophic failure"

mmm. I copied all tracks from Sequence 2 to sequence 1 and had no problem using Save or Save as. Using XP PRO SP3. What OS are you using?

I'm using XP SP3, the other day I was using SP2 and had lots of random crashes and my undo don't work and got grey out, update to SP3, seems like the problem is fix but now as the project gets more complex, the undo stop working again, this is really a pain, after this project I think I will reinstall E5 again and see if it helps.

in short sequence it was ok (my first test - 5 min timeline).
On 2nd test, my timeline was 1 hour 55 (longer than Khoi 1 hr 17) and I'm using XP sp3.

IN my test,I just added several long clips to Sequence 2 that totaled about 2 hours. t was very simple with no big filters or effects.

It's weird now ...
IF I cut (shift c) the 2nd sequence to any lenght that shorter than 1 hr 50 min, it will allow to save. Any idea ?
