  • Registration of ProDAD apps in V5

    I received my Edius 5 upgrade this week, installation no problem, incl Title Motion Pro (CD included), so everything works.

    But when I apply a VitaScene filter and want to change the settings, a window appears saying that my license will expire November 7th, so I need to register. Name and full address is required (?), sent by e-mail, let's see if I receive a license key.

    With Mercalli it is harder: a similar window opens with a warning that my license will expire. To register for Mercalli however, besides full address, etc, I need to fill in a registration code. Can anyone tell me where I am supposed to find that?

    I would email ProDAD about Edius 5 and your plugin registration issue. ProDAD has given me excellent support in the past.

      Registration screens for the ProDAD software supplied with EDIUS v5 are a known issue - they will not expire, so you are safe. Simply 'OK' the popups and you won't be troubled again (until you next restart your PC).

      This will be fixed in a future update.

          That is good to know. The Mercalli prompt requires a non-existent xxxx-xxxx-xxxx code even to send the e-mail. It is good to know I need not bother; the Vitascene e-mail has been despatched.

              ProDad e-mailed me with the license file for Vitascene (same as Hans is showing). Both license files for Vitascene and Mercalli (taken from Hans post) have stopped the pop-up windows.

              Will any future updates or fixes (if necessary) on ProDAD software be available on the Edius Support Center, or do we have to check the ProDAD site?
