  • Capturing with HDStorm

Okay, anyone know how to get camera control when capturing HDMI through the HDStorm?

Camera control is not possible through HDMI. The only device control I am aware of, is more along the lines of interactivity between A/V devices (TVs, players, receivers)

I suspected that. Just though that connecting firewire at the same time might do the trick with camera control.

Think I will wait for the spark, no camera control doesn't sound good, A lot of money for a codec when you really think about it, and just to capture through HDMI.

I don't think HDMI was meant to replace FireWire...that is the companies planned to add VTR control to HDMI camcorders so you can capture with clip splitting and control a VTR.

I know that my Bravia does support HDMI control, but don't even know what it would be used for.

It must be easy to fix. The Intensity Pro (HDMI card) can capture with camera control by hooking up the firewire in tandem.
